Saturday, October 20th, 2018, 2:00pm-5:00pm
The Black Archives of Mid-America
1722 E 17th Terrace KCMO 64108

You are cordially invited to pay tribute to Kansas City's unsung historian, Mrs. Irene Whitley Marcus. She will be honored for her dedication and service for preserving oral history and significant photographic events of Kansas City's early to mid-20th Century striving Black Americans. Oh yes, and did we mention it's her 99th Birthday Celebration too!

A light reception will be followed by presentations from The Black Archives of Mid-America, The Kansas City Star, The State Historical Society of Missouri, Bethel AME Church, American Bridge Association, The Twin Citians, Saturday Night Sixteeners, the family and friends of Irene Whitley Marcus, and many others. Don't miss this opportunity to honor one of KC's most remarkable citizens.

Seating will be limited so you are strongly encouraged to RSVP!
